Biography
Gold record-selling Italian tenor, Alberto Urso, has been dazzling audiences for over 20 years with a voice that showcases a blend of operatic power and singer-songwriter dynamism. Making his professional debut at the tender age of 7 years old after his musician father heard him singing in the shower and sent him to his first voice teacher, Urso is the new sound of Italian opera-pop which continues a vocal legacy beloved by audiences around the world.
Still only in his 20s, Urso has performed extensively all around the world, including Australia, Canada, UK and Ireland, partnering with artists such as Lang Lang, Kathryn Jenkins, Loredana Berte, Albano, Ornella Vanoni and Gigi d’alessio. Alberto trained in opera studies at the Conservatory Matera starting at age 14yo all the while studying jazz piano and saxophone at Messina.
At just 19yo, Urso was invited to audition at the renowned La Scala opera house for their apprentice program and was only one of three singers admitted. At the same time, he was also invited to audition for the Amici Academy, where in 2019 he won the nationally renowned vocal competition Amici.
After being signed by UMG, he released his first album, titled “Solo” featuring many songs that Alberto wrote himself, which he showcased on a 20 city sold out tour of Italy.
In 2021, Urso was invited to join The Tenors and performed globally in over 200 performances, including at The Hollywood Bowl, The Royal Albert Hall and Radio City Music Hall. In 2024, Urso was invited by Russell Crowe to sing at the Colosseum in Rome - concerts for Gladatior…
Urso is writing new songs all the time, partnering with Forrest Black and many other Grammy-Award winning producers and will be releasing new songs starting in Spring 2026, followed by a 25 city sold out tour across Italy.
